Our coaching directors main tasks are to serve as a role model for all MU coaches, identify a pool of potential coaches for fall and spring traveling seasons and place coaches with Traveling Teams, and assists in negotiation of compensation for paid coaches and assures that compensation is resolved prior to the start of each season. (Teams having paid coaches pay the coach directly.)

Tamba Johnson
A Minneapolis native, he played D1 at Wisconsin before playing with the Thunder. He has coached numerous C1 and Premier teams and is a player favorite at Winter training.

A Minneapolis native, John is dedicated to improving the city-youth soccer experience. Having coached numerous area Premier and C1 teams, he has coached the Washburn H.S. Women’s Varsity team; has played with the Minnesota Blast, the Internationals FC, and the Minnesota Thunder.
