Expectations for Traveling Team Coaches

The following are minimum qualifications desired for the lead coach of a Minneapolis United traveling team. These are intended to be used as a guide in coach selection decisions and to set expectations for the development of current and future coaches.

Notes:

1 - Each time period is in reference to the applicable time following implementation and announcement of these criteria.

2 - The Coaching Director may waive or delay the minimum expectations in select cases (e.g., based on a candidate’s prior experience).

3 - For Gold and C3 team coaches, these criteria represent goals, rather than requirements.

4 - Non-Academy maroon teams.

5 - The term “Professional” refers to current or past professional soccer players.
