Summer Registration for the U15 and above age groups

2011 Summer Registration is now open for the U15 and above age groups.

Minneapolis United has grown quickly over the last couple of years and the organization has needed to adjust player fees to account for that growth. With that said, we want you to know that we have taken the utmost care when making decisions regarding player fees.

The tryout fee ($35) and registration fee ($395) have been combined within the registration online system so your child will automatically be registered for both. New this season: we are giving all families the option of paying the full amount of their fee at the time of registration or paying in two installments. The first installment of $230 is due now, before tryouts, and the second installment of $200 is due by Feb. 1st 2011. A reminder email will be sent out when the second installment is due.

MU soccer is a great value. If you compare MU Winter Training vs. signing up for a winter training program outside of MU you would pay approximately $450 for one day of training for the same time period vs. MU provides you an outstanding Winter Training Program run by top professionals which also includes your MYSA fees, the 12 game Summer Season including field cost, referee cost and also our professional staff who help ensure a positive soccer experience, all for less than $400.

Thank you for your continued support and thank you in advance for registering your child before tryouts. Click on Related Links at the top of this page to register.

Online registration (links at bottom of page):

The online system will ask you for:

  1. household information
  2. player information
  3. volunteer and sponsorship opportunities
  4. and payment options

Before you register, please read the following:

Acceptance of registration is not a guarantee that the child will get on a team.

If you are registering and you are not currently rostered on a team it is possible that we may not be able to place your child at this time. In order for MU to provide our current members a high quality experience, and due to limitations in available fields to schedule games, we may only be able to accommodate 4 teams per age group at this time.

New registrants: All teams are formed through the tryout process. Placements on Tryout teams (c3, c2, c1 and Premier) with open spots are based on ability level and positions needed as determined by the coach of the team and coaching directors. New players will be evaluated if there is an opening in their age group. If the age group is full, players will be placed on a waiting list.

**Because of the tremendous growth in youth soccer, players have a better chance of getting placed on a c3 team if they come to tryouts. So many players are showing up at tryouts, that after the premier, c1 and c2 teams are filled — c3 teams are usually also filled with those who attend tryouts and it's possible all teams will be full by the end of team formation.
